Mailing Wallets -
Mailing wallets are special envelopes designed to fit a mailing
machine
Mailing wallets have a specially shaped flap to
enable the mailing machine to open the envelope automatically. Mailing
wallets are always gummed as mailing machines do not handle self-seal
envelopes.
Mailing
Wallets available in all mailing machine sizes
Mailing wallets are made in both white and manilla (brown) materials.
They have to be gummed, so that the mailing machine can seal them
We
supply all sizes of mailing wallets. The most popular sizes are
DL (110mm x 220mm) and C5 (162mm x 229mm) which take A4 folded three
times (DL) or A5 folded twice (C5). Other sizes are available, with
or without window, such as oversize DL (114mm x 235mm). Please ask
for a quote on your exact
requirements.
The PPI (Printed Postage Impression) carries a number
that is unique to you. This enables Royal Mail to identify your
mailings and charge you accordingly. We usually supply mailing wallets
already printed with your unique licence number. This is issued
to you when you apply for your Royal mail postage account.
Centreprint pack and sort millions of mailing wallets
every year, so if we carry out your mailing for you, you can use
our licence number.
May we quote
you on your next mailing? We offer the complete package of print,

We

Why have a return address printed on the
envelope?
A return address costs nothing to add to the envelope, as the printed
postage impression is being printed anyway. However, having the
address ensures that Royal mail is able to reurn any undeliverable
items (known as "gone-aways"). People move house, they
get divorced, they die and mail becomes undeliverable. The same
applies to businesses, who move on or close down. The only way of
making sure that you do not waste money in future by mailing these
people again is to remove the address from you database (mailing
list). We offer a service for doing this when you entrust your mailing
to Centreprint. Why not ask us for a quote
on your next mailing.
