literature is going to be distributed. The size and design of
the job, the weight of the finished item and the type of envelope
or mailing wallet have to be carefully planned right at the start.
The name and address data has to be up to date and have correct
post codes in place. Careful planning will save you money.

Most people planning a mailing already have a database of customers,
clients or prospects. This database should then be data
cleaned by matching it to the Royal Mail UK postal address
file (PAF), thus ensuring that you achieve the maximum Royal Mail
postal discounts when the data is Mailsorted, ready for despatch.
Discounts of up to 24% on the postal costs are achievable with
our help - a considerable saving. An additional 2% discount can
often be obtained by having Data Consultants apply a barcode to
the address on the envelope, although the entire mailing piece
then has to be "tested" by Royal Mail to ensure that
the thickness of the mailing is suitable for their equipment.
This can delay the mailing if a suitable timescale has not been
allowed for.
